You know you can watch pandas from all over the world easily, thanks to the technology of web cams.
All of the zoos and research centers that house giant pandas utilize a system of cameras to help them with their research. Fortunately, more and more of these centers are allowing us to see these cameras at work through their websites. You can see the list of web cams you can view to the left side of this blog.
I belong to several panda groups on flickr, the photo sharing website. We chat, share information and photos between each other. You can drop in most anytime of the day and find someone on line to chat with about pandas. While we are chatting to each other, we usually have another screen or two open with a web cam going. There is a great website where the creator provides all of the U.S. Zoos cams all on one page, its called Daniel's Multiple Panda Cam Feeds It is amazing to watch the pandas live on the cam's and seeing them engage in activities such as climbing trees, playing in a pool of water and so on.
On our panda blogs, because we are all so busy, many of us make use of screen caps to capture a moment of time on the web cam. Then we then post on the blog for those who come on later can see what the pandas had been doing earlier in the day. We have alot of fun and get to be pretty creative with our screen caps also. There is some easy to use free, software available for taking screen caps that I and many other use its called MW-Snap What's great about this software is you capture just that portion of the computer screen that you want and resize the capture to just about any size you want also. Just be sure you set up a separate photo file for your screen caps to be saved in.
So now you know how easy it is to watch giant pandas from the comfort of your own home.

YEAP that is just the way it is.. if we are busy in the day someone will have some idea what the pandas did and we can catch up with the lives them.
This is a wonderful site !
