Fu Long, the male panda who was born at Zoo Vienna, Austria on August 23, 2007 is now making himself comfortable in his new digs at the Bifengxia Panda Base in China.
It was early morning November 20. 2009 when he made his arrival at the panda base. First flying into Shanghai then into Chengdu, finally arriving at the Bifengxia Base at 00:30 AM.
China welcomed Fu with a grand ceremony. Am sure it was hard for his keeper, Eveline Dungl who cared for him since birth to say goodbye. They accompanied Fu on his journey to China and stayed with him until they were confident Fu was adjusting well .

Here are some photos and a video of Fu with his keeper. Thanks to lupoforme of YouTube who put the translation into the video for us so we could understand what they were telling us about Fu and his trip.
Best of luck to you dear Fu and we look forward to hearing about you in the future.

Yes its lovely, that Fu Long was welcomed with a ceremony, but then people in Bifengxia really love their pandas. Fu Long will soon be playing with other cubs his age, the cubs I played with.

How great that Bifengxia welcomed Fu Long with a beautiful ceremony! ☺
I am really glad that Fu Long adjusted well in Bifengxia. It must have been heartbreaking for E. Dungl to say good-bye.
