Memphis Zoo, Tennessee Le Le means 'happy happy'

Le Le was born on July 18, 1998 at the Chongquing Zoo, Chongquing, China. His mother is Xin Xin (wild born) and his father is Chuan Chua (wild born). Xin Xin lives at the Chongquing Zoo but his father, Chuan Chua, lives at the Shanghai Zoo.
Since Le Le was conceived by natural mating one of his parents had to have been brought to the other for mating. No information on this.
Le Le was mother reared and then moved to the Shanghai Zoo in September of 1999, where he stayed until he was brought to the Memphis Zoo in 2003.
His keepers say he has a pretty laid back behavior, going outside with no problems and loves going into the pool of water to cool off.
Le has a rounded face, with rounded ears with his nose being a little shorter in length, giving him a 'teddy bear' appearance.
