Mei Lan lives at the Chengdu Panda Breeding base in Chengdu, China. She was moved to Chengdu in February 2010.
Mei was born at Zoo Atlanta on September 6, 2006. Her parents are Lun Lun (f) and Yang Yang (m) and they are both still living at Zoo Atlanta. (See pandas living in US)
She has a very fluffy face mask just as her mother does and generally has a very quiet disposition. She is the first cub born to Lun and Yang by artificial insemination.
