Tai Shan 'Peaceful Mountain' lives at the Bifengxia Panda Breeding Base, Ya'an, China. He was moved here in February 2010.
Tai Shan was born at the Smithsonian National Zoo, in Washington D.C., US, on July 9, 2005, where he became a 'rock star' among pandas due to his ability to entertain visitors with his playful behavior.
His parents are Mei Xiang (f) and Tian Tian (M) who are still living at the National Zoo.
